middle river cottages

The two cottages have identical facilities but slightly different layouts. They are nearby and have a screen of vegetation giving some privacy and a sense of isolation. The cottages are close enough for several families travelling together to stay but have their own space. We regularly get groups of friends using both cottages and the homestead.

Fides Cottage

Each cottage has three bedrooms, one with queen-size bed, one with two single beds and the third with a single bed and a double bunk bed. Heating is by slow-combustion woodfire in an open plan lounge and dining area, with views over the river flats toward the ocean and hillsides. The kitchens are equipped with gas stoves, refrigerators, microwave ovens. The bathrooms are designed for holidays - each cottage has a main bathroom plus a separate shower (for a rinse after the beach) and a second toilet.

A BBQ pergola is close by and is shared by the two cottages. The cottages are comfortably furnished for relaxation in front of the spectacular sunsets. There is no television - this is a total escape holiday!
